Our French Way Itinerary, 260km
Our starting point is the town of Astorga in the province of León. This province, along with the neighboring province of Galicia through which you’ll walk, is considered the most beautiful part of the entire Camino.
You follow the French Way, the most well-known of all the Camino routes. For two weeks, you walk through the Spanish countryside and discover not only beautiful rural scenes and natural beauty but also the centuries-old history of the Camino.
You see remnants of the Roman era, explore charming medieval villages, and visit ancient Catholic chapels and cathedrals that have welcomed pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago for nearly a thousand years.
It is a journey of discovery like no other!

How do our walking tours work?
Our walking routes are fully supported, slack pack routes. The route is predetermined and you are able to self-pace throughout the day while a dedicated support team handles your luggage transfers, hotel bookings and meals.

No more heavy bags! Each day the support team transports your luggage between hotels. You only walk with a daypack with a warm jacket, your water bottle, camera, and snacks.

The total distance from Astorga to Santiago de Compostela is about 260 km. You walk every day consecutively for 13 days, with daily distances ranging from 14 km to 27 km (4 - 8 hours).

You must have an average level of fitness. No single day on the Camino is insurmountable, but the daily walking requires stamina. The terrain includes gravel and forest paths, stone paving and steep elevation changes.

No. A tour leader walks the entire route with the pilgrims, but you are not obliged to walk in a group. After all, the Camino is a personal pilgrimage, and for many pilgrims, it is important to experience solitude. The route is well marked.
